Press release, logos, visuals and contact — everything journalists and bloggers need.
Mondes Préhistoriques is an independent online media outlet launched in 2026, entirely dedicated to prehistory and protohistory. It covers international scientific news, offers documented and sourced in-depth features, and provides a glossary and an interactive chrono-map enabling exploration of 4 million years of human history.
The site is defined by a dual commitment: scientific rigour and broad accessibility. Every article is sourced with references to original academic publications. Content is available in French and English, co-written in both languages. To date, more than 120 articles, features and documentaries have been published, covering palaeoanthropology, prehistoric archaeology, cave art, the Neolithic and protohistory.
The site's flagship tool is its interactive chrono-map, which allows simultaneous navigation through time (from −4 million years to Antiquity) and space, with more than 50 geolocated sites. Each point links to an article or feature published on the site.
Mondes Préhistoriques is a 100% independent media outlet: no outside shareholders, no programmatic advertising, no institutional pressure. Editorial decisions are guided exclusively by the scientific quality and relevance of the subjects covered. The site is founded and run by Laurent Guilbert, journalist and digital content creator, also designer of the board game Doggerland (SuperMeeple, 2023) and author of a novel trilogy due in September 2026.
